We are open 51 weeks out of the year and we are closed for a week between Christmas and New Year. We close at 4pm on the last nursery day before Christmas and reopen at 8am on 5th January.

sessions

Full day sessions run from 8am - 6pm
Morning half day sessions run from 8am - 1pm
Afternoon half day sessions run from 1pm - 6pm

We have a flexible approach to early learning and childcare and we will try to accomodate families with unusual shift patterns when possible. When looking for a nursery space, please ask our management team for availability as we do operate a waiting list on a first come, first served basis.

payments

We recommend you pop in to see us, this will allow us to discuss our fees, payment schemes and discount in detail for you.

We prefer payments via bank transfer to ensure a smooth and secure transfer of fees.

childcare vouchers

We take most childcare vouchers, please speak to your employer who will direct you in the right direction. Please contact us if you would like a list of childcare vouchers that we accept.

what is included in your fees

We provide a light morning snack, lunch and afternoon tea which are included in your fees. Children over 1 year of age are supplied with milk for morning and afternoon snacks and each child is supplied with their own water cup/bottle.
We provide bedding for naps so we would only ask you to provide baby grow bags or comforters if this is something you'd prefer your child to sleep with.

Partnership funded hours

Lecropt Nursery has been working in partnership with Stirling Council since August 2007 and is considered a partner setting. To become a partner, we must go through a procurement process and meet certain criteria and have been successful in this before. As a result, we are registered with Scottish Executive as being able to deliver the national early year's curriculum and are subject to inspection by Education Scotland.
We deliver exactly the same curriculum as the local authority nurseries and are inspected by the same people. Being a partner also allows us to have access to a nursery teacher provided by the local authority for up to six weeks each term. The staff also have access to training events and network meetings provided by the council.

All children aged 3 - 5 years old are entitled to government funded placements where they are entitled to the 1140 hours spread over the academic year.

We also accept funded places for entitled two's. Please check with Stirling Council to see if you are eligible.

inspections

We are inspected both by Education Scotland and the Care Inspectorate.

Parent feedback from our most recent Care Inspectorate inspection in 2024.
"Congratulations on a perfect inspection.  Our daughter is very pleased she has the best - we didn't need the inspection to know. Thank you to the whole team. Thank you for sharing."
