The castle Room
“Play is not a break from learning. It is endless, delightful, engaging, practical learning.”

The Castle Room has an excellent bright play room for your child to explore and experiment with resources. The rich environment provided in both rooms provide plenty of space for your child to develop their creativity and imagination through a blend of natural and everyday objects that allows your child to play and learn with a range of possibilities.
Our play experiences provide choice and promote new ideas, challenge, enjoyment and for your child to learn from their actions.
We begin developing early independency skills through washing our hands before meals, tidying up our toys when we are finished, labelling art work with names provided or writing their names themselves, and a water jug is provided for them to pour their own drink when needed.
Your child have many opportunities to begin identifying their name. One of these opportunities will include their self-register. Each child will have a pebble with their name on it and your child will be encouraged to look for their name and place it in their key workers basket. We ask that your child does this upon arrival, if however you are in a rush one of the key workers will support your child.
Children tend to start in this room the term after their 3rd birthday and are here until they leave for school.
